Hi! My name is Jess, an artist based in High Point, NC. My love for art started from the moment I could hold a pencil. Dabbling in nearly every artistic medium possible - from creative writing, to baking, to jewlery making - I couldn't get enough of seeing what I could create with my own hands and a little imagination. While I always stayed busy with creative projects, I didn't start thinking of art as anything more than a hobby until the peak of Covid-19 in 2020. As an immunocompromised disabled person, I was unemployed and stuck at home with no escape. Art became my escape. It became my way to express myself, to let out all of the emotions I felt inside, and bring some joy into my home. And, once I started sharing it with the world, the overwhelming positivity and support I received told me that this is what I was meant to do. I started with abstract painting but once I fell into a lull after a few years, I grabbed a lump of clay and my imagination was revitalized!
